Entries for all these events will be £2 per dog. Exact timings will depend on the number of entries. Winner & Reserve in all lurcher sections will qualify for the NL&RC Finals at Brailes on Sunday 21st October 2018. All dogs are to be muzzled whilst competing and the use of enhanced training aids (e.g. shock collars) is prohibited. Our working lurcher events in 2018 will be competing for the much coveted Golden Jackets. Lurcher Field Obedience Competitions will also be taking place in both Novice and Open categories.
The Lurcher and Terrier Show starts at approximately 1.00pm. The Lurcher schedule consists of 25 classes and the Terrier one 19 classes and entry is £2.00 per dog, pay in the ring. We have also introduced a class to the show schedule whereby all monies raised from that class will be donated to Lurcher Rescues. Winners of various classes can qualify for NL&RC Members Championship to be held in Brailes in October, and the NL&RC Junior Hander Championship and NL&RC Champion of Champions which will be held at Chatsworth Country Fair. The National Lurcher and Racing Club is the oldest and largest lurcher club in the world and was founded in 1980. Experienced members of crew will be on hand all weekend to give advice and guidance on all aspects of lurcher ownership. Anyone with an interest in lurchers is eligible to join the club, and there will be the opportunity to do this and to purchase club-branded merchandise at this show.
