  1. NL&RC AGM & Show

This coming weekend it is our AGM and Show at Brailes Community Centre OX15 5AS.

Those without Sat Nav will find it on the side of the B4035 between Banbury and Shipston-on-Stour.

There will be no running events this weekend.  Please accept our apologies for any confusion arising from lack of advertising

    Saturday 22nd November

AGM commences at 12.00 noon.  Agenda and Minutes will be available on arrival.

Positions up for re-election this year and to serve until 2017 are President, Treasurer and Show Secretary.  Jenny will also be stepping down as Membership Secretary.

We aim to break for Lunch sometime between 1.00 and 1.30 pm, depending on progress.  Basic refreshments will be provided (although priority will be given to those who returned their reply-slips or have otherwise notified us of their intention to attend)

    Sunday 23rd November

Show will start at 10.30 with the ‘Non-Living Heritage’ Championship. We will then revert to our standard Show schedule.

The Children's classes will be followed by the Children's (non-Living Heritage) Championship, and the NL&RC Members Class will be followed by the NL&RC Members Championship.

This will be followed by the Open show, the Champion of which will qualify for Chatsworth 2015.

Hope to see you all there

  2. Good News....... Return of the NL&RC Magazine!

We are delighted to bring you once again the NL&RC magazine - currently being printed ready for Chatsworth 2014. Magazines will be available free per membership (as opposed to per member) and additional copies may be purchased for £2.00 each. Please can all members who are attending Chatsworth this year collect your copy to help us reduce postage costs.

  3. By mutual agreement the NL&RC and Living Heritage announce the termination of their association whereby the NL&RC ran the Lurcher events at the Living Heritage Country Fairs in 2014. Both organisations will continue to deliver their respective events, and anyone already qualified in the lurcher competitions will be notified in due course of alternative Championships.

NL&RC finals for Simulated Coursing, Straight Racing and Hurdles will now be held on Sunday 26th October at Brailes Playing Fields OX15 5AS

Showing Championships for what would-have-been the Living Heritage Singleton Cup and Junior Handler with now be held along with the NL&RC Members' Championship on Sunday 23rd November at Brailes Playing Fields OX15 5AS

Full details including times will be published in due course.

The Chatsworth Championships remain unchanged - Superdog on Friday, Junior Handler on Saturday; Obedience and Show Championships on Sunday (full Chatsworth programme to be published shortly)

Sadly the NL&RC will not be running the lurcher events at the Woburn Country Fair this weekend. (7th & 8th June)
We were informed today (Wednesday 5th June) that there will be no ringside parking, and that at this time it is unlikely that we will be able to include Simulated Coursing.

This decision has therefore been taken in the interest of show-goers following the dissatisfaction expressed after similar circumstances at Netley Marsh when many people spent time and money travelling to the event and then couldn't access the show
